Lots to look forward to in 2022

With so many changes at all of Disney’s destinations in 2021, it’s hard to imagine more are on the horizon, but Disney means to keep alive Walt’s vision that “Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious…and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

So, what are we excited about in 2022? Read on!

1) Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
We’re super pumped about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, opening at Epcot in Summer 2022. This attraction will be one of the longest fully enclosed coasters in the world! Here’s a teaser image of this awesome adventure:

  • First off, we have those lovable cosmic misfits bursting right out at us – Rocket (look at that mischievous smirk on his face … he always has a plan, right?), Groot, Gamora, Drax and Star-Lord, brandishing his beloved cassette player. Cue up your mixtape!
  • Swooping past the Guardians are Guests aboard the innovative new ride vehicles for this coaster, which are unlike anything else in the galaxy.
  • Just below Gamora is Star-Lord’s ship. If the Guardians are around, it’s a good bet they’re aboard.
  • And speaking of ships, take a look at the Starblasters in the upper left. These Nova Corps vessels are emerging from a jump point, the Xandarian method for crossing vast distances of space in mere moments. Who knows what’s on the other side?
  • I am Groot.

We can’t wait for it to be “Save the Galaxy” time!
